Derek and Marilyn reach the bus stop and board the next arriving bus.

"Where do you want to go?"

Marilyn shrugs.

"Anywhere."

Derek sits next to Marilyn and watches as the bus stops pass by.

Marilyn leans her head against the window of the bus, watching everything pass by.

Derek hates seeing Marilyn like this. It kills him. It kills him more knowing there isn't anything he can say or do to help. Not yet.

He reaches over and grabs her hand in his.

Marilyn squeezes his hand, and moves her head from the window, to his shoulder.

Derek puts his cheek on the top of Marilyn's head gently, returning the tighter hand grip.

He wants to say something, but think it is not the right moment in time.

He closes his eyes, wishing they were in a better place.

At that moment, Marilyn found tears running down her cheeks yet again.

Derek uses his free hand to wipe away the tears from Marilyn's face.

"It's okay," he whispers. "Let it out."

The bus drives on. Time passes quickly as the two ride. Derek realizes at least two hours have passed since they boarded.

"It looks like we're at a harbor..."
