Carrying a bag Derek steps into the room. He sets the bag inside the room against the wall, then leans against the side of the doorway.

Marilyn turns and looks at Derek.

She smiles a bit, lightly laughing at herself, "I'm full of mixed emotions right now."

"Good ones, I hope," Derek says with a smile.

Marilyn smiles and shrugs,

"Mostly." She says as she walked towards him to give him a hug. "Thanks so much for this."

Derek returns the hug.

"You're welcome. I'm glad you're here.""

(So, would you for her to end up pregnant? Or just the scare? Or anything else you can think of.)

"Yeah. I guess we could work it out after all." She said with a smile.

"If you need anything else just let me know. We'll make a trip to a store or something."

When Derek said that her stomach turned.

Did I just get nervous?...Or am I about to throw up..?

There had been something on her mind, and she had been seeing the signs but can decipher if its all in her head or not.

And she didnt know how to tell him.

The more she stood there thinking about how to say it, the more she thought about how serious the situation was.

Her face turns red in embarrassment.

"I don't know how to say it.."

Derek started feeling tension.

"What's wrong? Please tell me, Marilyn."

She bites her lip. The thought of saying it wanted to make her throw up in its own.

"..uh..maybe you could just take me to the store and you'll see.."

"Okay... Lets go then. I'll be outside."

Derek turns around and walks towards the stairs. He puts on his shoes, goes out and waits in a car.

Marilyn takes a quick moment to herself and just breathe.

Alright.

She grabs her purse, slips on shoes, and heads out to the car with Derek.

Derek turns on the car and pulls out.

"What store should we go to?"

Marilyn shrugs

"Uh..a pharmacy I guess?"

Derek takes the route towards the nearest CVS and pulls into the lot several minutes later. He stops in a parking space and turns off the engine.

"What's going on, Marilyn?"

Derek gets out of the car and goes inside the store.

As they walked through the store, Marilyn was reading the signs for each aisle. Once she reaches the appropriate aisle, she turned into it...

As she walked, she recalled moments from the past where she would accompany other girls to get what she was about to, in front of her boyfriend.

I never thought I'd end up being one of those girls.

Whenever she gets her head back into reality, she's standing in front of a variety of pregnancy tests.

Derek had followed her as she walked around the store and down the aisle. He noticed it was what he always called the 'girl aisle', but followed still since he knew they were there for something specific. It wasn't until Marilyn stopped and looked at an item that he looked as well, noticing what it was her eyes were on.

The little pregnancy test section.

He just stood there for a moment, silent, until he managed a few words.

"Do you think...?"

Marilyn was scared of what Derek might be thinking, she looked at the ground as her eyes began to water. She didn't even know why she was crying, she was just overwhelmed.

"Possibly..."

"... We have to know for sure."

Marilyn nods softly.

"Yeah..."

She picked up a box, sighed, and walked towards the cashier.
