"Oh sure." She says with a smirk.

"Either way...I don't really want to do that. I rather be somewhere just you and me.." She says, blushing slightly.

"Yeah? I'd really like that too."

Derek thinks for a moment, seeing if he remembers a place like that on the bus map.

"Well, there is my hotel. I have my own room."

Pushing aside the stereotypical thought of a guys intention when he takes a girl to his hotel room, Marilyn agrees.

"Alright, that sounds nice."

"Really? Okay."

Derek turns to go back to the bus stop.

"I'm not asking for that reason, you know..."

Derek makes a serious face for a moment, then grins.

"You're right. l don't have the confidence."

Marilyn punches his arm playfully.

"Haha yeah I thought so."

Marilyn giggles.

"Sorry."

She got on the bus with him when it arrived.

The two ride the bus across town, a good 25 minute ride, and arrive at the hotel.

Derek opens the front door.

"Ladies first."

"Thanks."

Marilyn walks inside. "I've never been to a hotel before..." She admitted

"You haven't? Well, you didn't miss much, but there is always one good thing about staying in a hotel chain that your father is a buisness partner in: free room service," he says as he walks to the elavator.

"And it just so happens this happens to be such a hotel," as he presses the button.

"How exciting!" She says with a smile.

"You must live pretty nicely, huh..?"

Derek shrugs.

"We live pretty well, I suppose. We're not rich but we have money. My dad, he had a gambling addiction. We lost a lot. We're lucky he wasn't forced to retire from his position."

When the elevator doors open Marilyn steps out and looks down the hall of rooms.

"This is so cool."

Derek chuckles.

"This way," he says going to the right.

He walks down the hall to the room near the end. He takes a card out of his wallet and puts it into the slot. When the lock light turns green he turns the handle and goes in, opening it for Marilyn.

"Make yourself comfortable."

Marilyn walks in almost in awe.

She admired how everything look so neat and pretty.

She sat down at the end of the bed. "I wish I could live here, this is amazing."

Derek sits on the couch across from the bed.

"Well, we're still in town for a few more days, so you can for a little while if you want."

Marilyn smiles warmly, realizing how Derek cares about her.

"That sounds nice."

Derek returns the smile.

"I'll take that as a yes."

He stands and goes to the phone.

"You hungry?"

Mairlyn thinks about it.

"Uhh...yeah a little I guess."

"Alrighty."

Derek picks up the phone and dials a quick number.

"Uh, yes, hi. I'd like today's special sent up to room 329, please? Yes, please... Thank you."

He hangs up, then sits next to Marilyn on the bed.

"I have no idea what I just ordered."

"Hahaha that's impressive. Lets hope you didn't order something over the top."
