The Cliff...

Marilyn smirked.

"That actually sounds like a perfect candidate."

Anne was glad that Marilyn was cool about this. She thought Marilyn would react with an impending, instantaneous remarkable burst of anger for selecting her boyfriend as a candidate to prank.

"I couldn't agree anymore. We should probably get that nice Trevor kid to join in as well."

Marilyn nodded.

Just in time, Trevor happened to arrive, looking for Marilyn.

"Hey ladies. What's going on?"

"If she's in, I'm in." he said, winking at Marilyn.

"Oh wait who's Derek?"

Marilyn giggled,"He's a friend of mine."

"Oh alright cool. Let's do it."

He better not be too good of a friend.

After their parts of the challenge, Marilyn and Trevor returned to the cliff.

"I wonder how the whole thing will turn out. I heard that Derek is disarming naval mines. I hope he'll be alright."

"I dont think they'd let anything too bad happen to your little boyfriend."

Marilyn blushed slightly, "He's not my boyfriend."

Trevor smirked and flirtatiously got close, nose to nose with Marilyn. "Well that's good too know. I was honesty getting a tad jealous of the guy. So the position of your boyfriend is available, and I'd be more than happy to take it."

Marilyn blushed madly. "T-Trevor...I..."

Devin felt abandoned after Anne was pressuring Derek to dodge the naval mines. He sighed and decided to lone it like always. He saw that Marilyn and Trevor were in the midst of something and he was about to leave.

As Trevor was making a move, Marilyn saw Devin out of the corner of her eye.

Marilyn quickly stepped away from Trevor and walked towards Devin.

"Devin! Hey what's up? How are you?" she asked with a smile.

Trevor sighed with a smirk, he turned around and waved at Devin whom he hadn't met yet.

Devin was really dismayed about seeing Marilyn. He was skeptical of anyone in general and seldom trusted people. He knew everyone signed up with a secret, but he couldn't help thinking that Marilyn of all people had the biggest secret of all of them. He disliked Marilyn. Not because of Derek or because Anne didn't already tell Devin a plethora of reasons to hate Marilyn and Derek.

Why...are you acting so friendly towards me. I hate you. I don't trust your friend either.

He daggered at both of them unceasingly without saying a word, wanting to leave. But Devin would not relinquish his pride for fear of Marilyn.

Marilyn didn't want to believe Derek when he told her that he felt Devin was hiding something. The Devin she knew was the nice, shy kid that she met when the all were arriving to the island.

Devin's daggering eyes seemed to prove Derek correct.

Geez...I don't remember ever doing anything but be nice to you, Devin...

"Hey! You got a problem?!"

"Trevor, don't start anything. There's no reason to."

"He looked at me the wrong way."

(FFF- why has Marilyn just noticed this now? Devin was uncomfortable around her to begin with...)

Devin rolled his eyes, "Yes," he replied coldly, "I don't like anyone."

(she just thought he was shy :b)

Trevor started getting irritated.

"Hey kid, you're really getting on my nerves. Why don't you do yourself a favor and just get out of here."

(Yeah, but if I was her. I'd kinda realized that Derek might have been right all along. Like I said before, sorry for being busy! ;w;)

Devin grimaced, "No. I don't back down to anyone." His eyes were blazed, but Devin retained a sedate composure.

"So happens I'm the same way. But you better think twice before I shove my foot up your-"

"Trevor!" Marilyn interrupted. She turned to Devin. "Look, I'm sure you were planning on leaving anyway, so why don't we avoid causing an unnessecary scene and go on our own ways. Sound good?"

Devin was daunted by Marilyn out of fright, so he seemed weak in comparison this time, "I won't lose next time..." he mumbled as he walked away.

After Devin walked off, Marilyn turned an glared at Trevor.

"That was very immature with you."

Trevor was taken back, "Sorry babe. It's just the way I roll." he said with a shrug.

Marilyn rolled her eyes and smiled, "You're lucky I like you."

"Lucky me."

After the challenge Derek decided to see if he could find Marilyn.

He sees movement on the cliff, so he decides to check up there.

"So...now that that kid is gone...where was I?...oh yeah, you."

"Give it a break Trevor." she said with a light laugh.

"Can't help it. You're my kind of girl."

Marilyn blushed. "Yeah? Well..." she noticed someone coming.

"Hey! It's Derek!!"

Derek hears Marilyn's voice and his spirit rises. He looks around and sees her.

"Hey!"

Then Derek notices a guy with her. Not wanting to be a jealous type he doesn't let his first feeling be the one he goes up to them with. He'll save that for later if it comes up.

He walks up to them.

"Hey."

Marilyn smiles.

"Trevor this is Derek. Derek, this is Trevor. I met him when he first arrived here."

At first glance, Derek didn't concern Trevor at all, he didn't seem like any competition. He decided he'd be friendly, for the most part. "Hey man."
